Aegis BPO: Why VP may move By Techgirl
Earlier this month, techgoss had reported that Aegis BPO Services' Managing Director and CEO, Aparup Sengupta's right hand man and 'BPO Yaar', Sourabh Ghosh, is tipped to be taking over the international Teletech business at Gurgaon. Currently, Sourabh as a Vice President, International Operations is responsible for all overseas accounts. According to reliable sources Sourabh may be moving to a new patch soon.
Why will Sourabh move? According to inside sources his promotion is very logical as he is currently handling 90 odd seats at Bangalore International these days. And that the Bangalore Six Sigma Center is going to soon lose one of its prime accounts: Delta Three. This leave Sourabh with a dilemma; whether as a Vice President he should remain in charge of a centre supporting overseas clients which only has 50 seats left or to move on to Teletech which is bigger an account. According to an ex-Agent, the work floor at Aegis BPO International in Bangalore is hardly 1000-1500 square feet.
Sourabh has few options left. Aegis Collect (Ex Global Vantage) is too big and well managed an account for him to move into there. Plus the political hurdles of him landing up and being accepted as a senior manager at Aegis Collect, Gurgaon.
The next big international branch at Aegis is AOL. Due to the buyout legalese he may not be able to head the business as the top management heads at AOL have a lock in period.
Fortunately for Sourabh, his friend and mentor Aparup will ensure he gets Teletech or something equally suitable. The main thing holding Sourabh in Bangalore is that the family has settled in well, and any move to Delhi will involve finding good schools and proper accommodation in booming Gurgaon.

Aegis BPO: management shake-up soon By Techgirl
Aegis BPO Services' Managing Director and CEO, Aparup Sengupta's right hand man and 'BPO Yaar', Sourabh Ghosh, is tipped to be taking over the international Teletech business at Gurgaon. According to the grapevine Sourabh is not inclined to report to the AOL boss in Bangalore. Currently, Sourabh as a Vice President, International Operations is presently responsible for all overseas accounts. Aegis bought Teletech for $13 million dollars in Nov, 2007. Aegis purchased AOL BPOs in March, 2008. Aparup and Sourabh are close friends and colleagues since the Global Telesystem BPO days, In North India they call such deep friendships as 'Langotia Yaars' or in the modern BPO lingo 'BPO Yaars'. As Aparup moved up, he ensured his confidante Sourabh was always close by. According to a little bird, Sourabh Ghosh prefers autonomy and would rather not report to the AOL boss in India. So, he chose to move to Gurgaon where he will be the big boss. According to the BPO Grapevine, very soon VP Marketing and ex promoter of Orion Dialog Pvt. Ltd.
