Intelenet BPO: Operation head walks
By Techgirl

Intelenet Global Services is a leading global third party BPO Company that delivers Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) services to a number of Fortune 500 companies in the UK, USA, Australia and India.  Intelenet is backed by Blackstone, a leading Global Private Equity Player.  One of their major clients in India is Vodafone. A key Intelenet manager looking after Vodafone has put in his papers.

According to sources at Intelenet, after numerous briefings and comparisons to the other Vodafone process vendors namely Aegis being at the top the quality heap, it seemed being second place was not agreeable to Satish Varanasi the COO of the Vodapone business at Intelenet Global Services.  Sathish’s differences of opinion with the Centre Head at Mumbai, Ravi Tengudu had reached a flash point.

Ravi Tengudu was the Head of Operations handling 4,500 Agents at the entire Vodafone Maharashtra, Mumbai and Goa centre in Mumbai at Goregaon Nesco Complex,

Seems like Satish's curt, business-like ways got the better of Ravi Tengudu, with Ravi deciding to resign and move out.

The Intelenet growth story involves rapid growth from just 25 employees at a single site to over 25,000 employees across 25 locations in India and overseas in just 7 years, making it the 2nd largest employer in the Indian BPO space.
