Syntel Vice President resigns? By Pulkit Sharma
Over the last six months, Techgoss had published a series of exclusive reports giving details of all that was happening inside BPO Syntel. One report showed how that in the recent past Syntel was overly reliant on couple of key clients. Techgoss had also reported on the exit of the CEO and senior HR people at Syntel.
The exclusive Techgoss reports were based on sources close to the Board as well as Syntel insiders who sent in anonymous tips backed up with hard facts. Things came to such a pass that on March 9, 2010, NASDAQ announced that it had served a notice of deficiency to Syntel after Dr. Vasant Raval's resignation from Syntel's Board of Directors. With the departure of Dr. Raval, the Company was no longer in compliance with NASDAQ Listing Rule 5605(b) (1), which requires the Company's Board of Directors to be comprised of a majority of independent directors. Syntel's Board presently has six members, including three independent directors. Syntel is scrambling to search for a replacement Independent Director.
Syntel which has IT, KPO and BPO divisions was recently named as one of the "50 Best Managed Global Outsourcing Vendors" by The Black Book of Outsourcing,
Now a tipster tells us that Syntel Vice President and BU Head, Avinash Sinha, has also put in his papers. The highly regarded Avinash is based in Pune and is the Business Unit Head of Plm and Design Engineering Services. Mr. Sinha graduated from BIT.
