Software CEO seeks political career
By Sree

In the forthcoming elections to the Lok Sabha in 2009, many of the NRI crowd is slated to fly back to India to test their luck in the political waters. One of them is Srikanth Reddy Palem, the MD and CEO of Four Soft (the world's largest transportation and logistics software products company), who would be contesting as a TDP (Telugu Desam Party) candidate.

Srikanth Reddy Palem will contest for TDP from Kamalapuram of Kadapa district against YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the son of the Chief Minister YS Raja Shekar Reddy ( YSR).

The TDP supremo head Chandra Babu Naidu, because of his contribution to the IT sector, has always enjoyed the patronage of the techie clan. Recently about 2,000 IT professionals of Hyderabad took out a rally from Hi-Tec City to NTR Trust Bhavan, the TDP headquarters, to announce their support to the party.

Srikanth Reddy, the son of retired chief justice of Andhra Pradesh, is presently working overtime on enhancing his Good Samaritan image by actively engaging in social service activities at the village level, as a part of which he has recently donated 200 computers in the schools in his constituency.

However Srikanth Reddy might find some consolation in the fact that even if he loses, there is a high probability of him making it to the Rajya Sabha, for in the past, who ever has contested against YSR's family members and lost, has been blessed with a Rajya Sabha seat.

Srikanth Reddy is an engineering graduate with a MS from USA’s Stanford University and has extensive work experience in supply-chain management, logistics and IT. He has worked with reputed organizations like Hewlett Packard (HP), Singapore and was Co-founder of Emery Worldwide India Private Limited (EWWIPL). He has been instrumental in developing the prime products of 4S, the first ever web based enterprise operating platforms for the logistics and supply chain management

If you have survived in the software industry you can do anything. You can have a political career. Someone should check that all these NRI's are Indian citizens
