Driver abducted from IBM Daksh BPO By Rahul Kumar
The parking yard of IBM Daksh in Gurgaon, India witnessed high drama when shocked witnesses saw a group of three cab drivers abduct another cabbie and thrash him brutally in the moving vehicle before dumping him along the national highway. Gurgaon police investigations would later reveal that the kidnapper wanted to scare off the victim from a relationship with his sister.
At 9.45 pm, a cabbie Vijayender along with three of his henchmen reached the parking lot of IBM Daksh in Udyog Vihar, dragged the cab driver Raju out from his cab and thrashed him in front of other cabbies as well as security guards before dragging him into their own cab and speeding away to an unknown destination.
However, police zeroed in on the trio after tracking down the registration number of the cab that was used for abduction, and arrested them all from a village Teekli. One of the arrested kidnappers Vijayender told the police officials that Raju had been carrying on an affair with her sister and he wanted to discourage Raju from doing so. According to police officials Raju and Vijayender were good friends a couple of months earlier and the former lived as tenant in one portion of the house of Vijayender in Ghaziabad. It was during this time that Raju who is from Maharashtra developed a crush on Vijayender’s sister and both fell in love with each other.
As the matter came to the fore, Vijayender shunted Raju out of his house but the latter would still visit the same house and meet his sister in his absence. It was only recently that Vijayender learnt about his visits to his home in his absence and decided to teach Raju a lesson. Along with two of his friends, Vijayender hatched a plot of abducting Raju. He called up Raju on the pretext of meeting him as a friend and reached the parking lot of IBM Daksh to carry out his plan. The police officials said that Raju who was beaten up and black and blue, wanted to marry the girl.
Now, Vijayender who is lodged in jail is trying to strike a deal with Raju asking him to withdraw the police case against him. (10/29/2008) |
