Intelenet manager movements
By Pulkit Sharma

Intelenet Global Services describes itself as a leading global third party BPO Company that delivers Business Process Outsourcing services to Fortune 500 companies in India, USA, UK, Australia, Mauritius, Philippines and Poland. Intelenet is backed by Blackstone, a leading Global Private Equity Player. Sparsh BPO, with 16,000 employees, is Intelenet’s subsidiary in India.

An Intelenet insider rang Techgoss to update us on the latest manager movements in the company. Satish Varanasi has been elevated to Deputy Chief Operating Officer from his current position of Vice President Operations at Intelenet Global Service's domestic Telecom business. Satish is looking after the pan India operations for Intelenet's customer care units catering to the telecom vertical. Processes include Uninor customer care and Vodafone Western region.

Aditya Arora has been promoted to Deputy Chief Operating Officer at Intelenet Global Services.  Gurgaon based Aditya currently heads Sparsh BPO's north Indian operations. With his new assignment, Aditya will take charge of Intelenet's operations at Poland as well as the new operations in China. Incidentally, Aditya travelled to Poland at the beginning of the year when Intelenet acquired a base in Poland.

Vijay Venkatesh,  who till mid 2008 handled Sparsh's (Non telecom) domestic processes for West & South India, has now moved to Intelenet's international operations with a new designation of Deputy Chief Operating Officer. Vijay now handles the international consulting/outsourcing business at Intelenet.

Additionally there have been two more promotions to Deputy Chief Operating officer from Vice Presidents at Intelenet's international operations.

At Intelenet’s Indian arm Sparsh BPO there has been a further realignment of roles. Retired Wing Commander K Karunamaya, who was handling administration at Sparsh BPO at a national level, has now been made in charge of handling business with the Government at a national level. His new role would encompass BSNL's processes handled at Sparsh BPO, the UID account now with Intelenet and possibly other Government accounts even Air India.
