Aegis India imports Filipino expert
By Naina

Aegis BPO has 39,000 employees based in 42 delivery centers and looking after 135 clients.  Head quartered in Mumbai, Aegis has call centres in India, Philippines, America, Costa Rica, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Australia, Kenya and South Africa. Aegis, ranked eighth by NASSCOM among the top BPO exporters in India, is experiencing a growth spurt in a number of its centres.

Even as India and Philippines compete for new American and European IT-ITES clients,  more and more Indian companies are importing key Philippines trained BPO experts to help their Agents in Indian tech hubs. And vice versa.

An Aegis insider tells us that Aegis has imported Josef Albert Bertumen from Philippines to take on the role of Senior Manager, Training and become responsible for training at Bangalore ITPL, EH (International) and Hyderabad (International).  The highly regarded Josef will be reporting to Aegis Vice President, International Operations, Vikesh Divakaran.

Josef Bertumen graduated in Speech Communications from the University of Philippines in 2001 and joined Aegis PeopleSupport Inc in Philippines in 2008.  In his current Bangalore based role as Senior Manager, Training, International Operations, Josef is tasked with managing the development and implementation of both client-specific and soft skill training initiatives for all international accounts in 2 locations – Bangalore and Hyderabad.
