Runaway Genpact groom ditches American Express

Kanchan*, an employee with Gurgaon-based American Express, is now a traumatized person and feeling deceived at the hands of her friend Dhiraj* who went missing just 48 hours before the duo were to get married on Sunday. Dhiraj worked with Genpact and lived in a rented apartment in DLF City.  Police, between battling terrorists and cyber criminals, are assisting the bride.

Kanchan and Dhiraj had been friends for quite some time and had decided to get married. However, the parents of Kanchan had accorded their consent for this marriage while parents of Dhiraj opposed it. Despite all obstacles, the arrangements to organise the marriage were finalized, friends and relatives had been sent across the invitations for their marriage that was scheduled on Sunday.

But all of a sudden on Friday, Dhiraj went missing and his mobile phone is switched off since then.  The aggrieved girl approached the local police in DLF City and filed a missing persons report. She and her relatives also took the police personnel to U-Block where Dhiraj would live in a rented apartment. However, Dhiraj was not found here also and she was told by the neighbors that Dhiraj had locked the apartment on Friday and left for an unknown place.   According to the police officials, Dhiraj was not found even at another apartment in Vikaspuri, New Delhi where he was supposed to shift to after their marriage.

The police officials said that they would contact Genpact office to find out whether Dhiraj was still working with them or had left his job as well. The police officials also spoke to a number of friends and room mates of Dhiraj but all expressed ignorance about his whereabouts. Even the parents of Dhiraj who stay in Chandigarh claimed that they did not have the whereabouts of their son.   However, one of the friends of Dhiraj in DLF City cooperated with the visiting police officials and gave them the keys of his apartment. The police officials opened the apartment but did not find any belongings of Dhiraj inside it. 

Helpless Kanchan does not know what to do and where to go to complain about the mischief and deception she was subjected to. She can just hope that good sense would prevail upon Dhiraj and he would come back soon to say he had made an error of judgment and wants to get married.
