Global Vantedge: Salary Better Than Genpact. But Perks ?

In May, Techgoss did a story titled ‘Genpact Vs Global Vantedge: Salary Increases’ on how Genpact was losing staff to Global Vantedge due to the higher salaries it offered. A number of readers wrote in saying that Global Vantedge was far from perfect. They listed the following issues which detail how Global Vantedge balances out its higher salaries
Administration policies

Cab will sometimes come very early for first pickup of call centre employees. Cab will wait for the employee for 3 minutes and then they are moved.

Employee will be Fined Rs. 100 for not adhering to company norms for transport.

If there is traffic jam or the cab broke down or any reason from company’s side due to which cab is delayed, it is the employee's responsibility to make sure cab reports to office on time. And make up the hours

Quality of food is not good. (A subjective opinion according to Techgoss) Operations

Team leads are convincing a lot to extend shift to achieve team target. However some will not get any over time for it

Approximately Rs. 80 an hour is paid if you are doing over time for Special Bonanza, otherwise nothing ( special bonanza is a special requirement from client to complete a target for a process that has a set benchmark i.e. a " $A" figure to be completed and so people need to stretch their normal working hours)

These days every company is paying Loyalty or Retention but GVI is not doing the same.

If Employee has served noticed that he/she is leaving after 30 days, a security guard will escort them to the gate. But full and final settlement will take another 30 days.
Party and social gatherings
Conclusion – Switch to GVI for higher salaries but there are compromises on other issues.
