Headstrong woos 30 ex staff
By Sandhya

Headstrong is a global IT consulting firm with a specialized focus in financial services. In particular, it is the world's leading offshore outsourcing company focused in the capital markets and securities industry space. In India, Headstrong is based out of Noida, Bangalore and Hyderabad. In terms of headcount, Noida is Headstrong's biggest delivery center in India.

Highly regarded Headstrong has been in business for 30 years and had revenue of $170 Million in 2009.  Overall, it has 3000 employees operating in 8 countries. Headstrong has been rated the No. 1 overall vendor in Financial Markets Information Technology Outsourcing by the prestigious Black Book of Outsourcing Research Group.

Techgoss has exclusively learnt that post recession, Headstrong had made proactive efforts to reaches out to rehire ex employees with proven track records. And recently something happened at Headstrong that is kind of unheard of in the industry. Only July 22, they called some of their ex colleagues who had left them during the recent recession (not the ones they fired) for a meeting at a star hotel in New Delhi with the idea to convince them to return to the Headstrong family.

A Tipster tells Techgoss that around 30 ex Headstrong employees attended the meeting which saw participation from Headstrong biggies like the Chairman of the Board, Arjun Malhotra, President & Chief Executive Officer, Sandeep Sahai,  and Managing Director, Global Delivery Centers, Harsh Singh Lohit. The agenda of the meeting was to find out how many of them are willing to return and under what terms and conditions. Reportedly, this move was triggered by the fact that Headstrong has recently won some major contracts and they are finding it tough to place quality resources in these new projects.

Some of the Headstrong alumni are understandably hesitant since the company fired some of their colleagues during the recession.   All said and done, the Headstrong top management should be applauded for doing something innovative to bring home top talent that they lost to competition during recession.
