Genpact CEO will stay

Genpact President and CEO Pramod Bhasin is widely regarded as the person who laid the foundation of the booming BPO industry in India.  The highly regarded Pramod is paid Rs. 12 crores a year to lead the most successful BPO in India.  Pramod is the current Chairman of NASSCOM.

After such a long, successful stint, it seems every year there is speculation if Pramod Bhasin will walk away from his beloved Genpact to ‘pursue other interests’.  No one was sure till recently, when Pramod Bhasin rang prolific techgoss contributor and satirist Techgirl to tell her that he will never leave Genpact. Apparently, Pramod is ‘scared’ that many of his employees will resort to self harm if he walks out.
