Emotionally wise CEO
By Techgirl

One of my greatest indulgences is to get a big pack of Amul ice cream and watch chick flicks like Bridget Jones Diary, Sex and the city, Pretty Woman and the like.  Many of these chick flicks are about how we women nurture emotional intelligence in men to make them more ‘balanced’ human beings. Yes, it is a hard job but we have to do it.

When I read the following article in ‘Thesmarttechie’, my first thought was it was written by female CEO. Yahoo, Facebook, EBay, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft India and many other tech firms have had great female leadership.

Living with shattered dreams could do more damage than chain smoking (statutory warning), and of course not a nice feeling one could carry on with. But as the saying goes, life always gives you a second chance and one has to be an optimist always.

Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled, and trampled into the dirt by the decisions we make and the circumstances that come our way. We feel as though we are worthless. But disregard of what has happened or what will happen you will never lose your value. You are special and don’t ever forget this. Never let yesterday’s disappointments overshadow tomorrow’s dreams.

….

Great words written from the heart.  But I was more pleasantly surprised to see they were written by Indian Suresh Elangovan, CEO and MD of tech company Mindlogicx.

Who would have though that a slightly chauvinistic society could produce emotionally intelligent men like Mr. Murthy and Mr. Elangovan?

Unfortunately, some of our women have become more like men.  And that is not always a good thing.
