Genpact Kolkata: Rs 10000 reward By Sati
Genpact was India’s first BPO and still continues its market leadership position in India. Genpact has 41,000 employees and earned revenue of $1.1 Billion in 2009. Genpact started life as a Business Unit of GE, but by January 2005 it became an independent company. Two years later, it was listed on the NYSE. In 2009, NASSCOM ranked Genpact as the No. 1 BPO company in India.
While Genpact is well known as India’s top BPO, it also does substantial computers systems and tech support for overseas clients. In that sense, it is a tech company as well.
France head quartered Capgemini employs 96,000 people worldwide and operates in 30 countries. In India, Capgemini is over 26,000 people strong and services over 400 clients globally and in the Indian market.
Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced. People send in tips, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT-ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym.
We love our Tipsters! Even though we pay Rs. 1000 for a great tip, some Tipsters even ask us to donate the money to charity and send them the receipts. A Tipster tells Techgoss
“ While the booming Indian economy has resulted in a lot of job hopping in the IT-ITES sector, if you ask Genpact it would say it is highest in its Kolkata, West Bengal Site. More than 300 employees of Genpact lined up at the walk in interview held at Capgemini which is ramping up to embrace three third party clients. The attrition rate is expected to increase after this Puja period when the hiring activities resume.
Tech major Capgemini is making life difficult for the largest BPO in India - Genpact. The main reasons for the attrition are salary hikes as well as a better working environment. Genpact is now paying a reward of Rs 10,000 for each referral against a normal payout of Rs 4000. More than 30 employees have already put down their papers and they will be joining the rival company very soon. Understandably, this has put great pressure on Team Leaders and Managers as the team members from the same team are resigning together. More than one process is under alert and there are chances of it being rolled back to the client location. “
