Gawker Media is the richest and most powerful blog group in USA and by extension in many parts of the world.  Gawker and its fellow blogs Gizmodo, Lifehacker, Valleywag and others get 20 million unique visitors a month.  One estimate has valued this blog group at more than $150 million.

Gawker Media publishes stories which mainstream media dare not touch.  And so its blogs are essential reading for many Americans.

Gawker and its tech gossip blog Valleywag have just announced a $100,000 reward for anyone who will leak them information about the soon to be released Apple Tablet - how it'll work, its size, the name, the software and whether it will save magazines.

The Apple Tablet will be launched on Jan 27.

Gawker’s Valleywag will give you $100K if you allow them to play with the tablet for one hour before its official release.  $50K for pictures/videos of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs holding one. And $10K for pictures of the Apple Tablet.

What a great idea to get an exclusive!  If no one leaks the information, what a great idea to get publicity for the blog group!  This is a win win situation for Gawker.
