Bill Gates follows Khosla
By Pulkit Sharma

Tech billionaire Bill Gates co founded Microsoft and became the richest man on earth. Bill is widely admired for donating billions to charitable and social causes.  His family has pledged to give much of their wealth to noble causes.

Bill Gates had finally signed up on micro blogging platform Twitter.  It is a verified Twitter account meaning that it is the real Bill Gates.  Not surprisingly, within a day 150,000 people have started following Bill Gates.

Bill Gates, in turn, follows only 40 people on Twitter.  Whom Bill chooses to follow shows his interests, value systems and Twitterers who influence him. Bill Gates follows social and charitable organizations like WorldFoodPrize, Rotary, Fighthunger and UNICEF.  He follows a number of media organizations like The Economist, tech blog Techcrunch, Huffingtonpost, NYTimes and tech journalist Kara Swisher.

Bill Gates follows only one Indian Vinod Khosla on Twitter. Pune born and IIT educated Vinod Khosla is one of the most successful Indian tech professionals in the world.  Vinod co-founded Sun Microsystems before becoming an extremely successful and respected Venture Capitalist.  More recently, Vinod has turned his attention to green issues and charity in India.

Like Bill Gates,  Vinod and his wife have donated tens of millions of dollars to charity. Vinod Khosla and his wife have even donated $500K to Wikipedia.
