Buy Linux Tshirts & mugs
By Sandhya

Linus Torvalds created Linux to help provide quality software to people who could not afford expensive software sold by technology giants.  Even though Linux is Open Source, its market is worth tens of billions of dollars.

The Linux Foundation in a non profit organization set up in 2007 to promote the work of Linux Torvalds.  It is one of the key open source communities in the world.

The Linux Foundation has just opened its Linux store which sells TShirts, mugs and caps.  According to the Linux store these items are meant to “invoke feelings of geek pride, freedom, fun, eccentricity, and originality. “ All profits generated from the Linux.com Store go directly towards the Linux Foundation activities, events and strategic initiatives.

Each T-Shirt sells for 12 British pounds and Mugs for 5 pounds. Even though the Linux Foundation is based in United States, the store will be governed by British courts and laws.  The Terms and conditions include legalese like: “There will be no binding contract of any kind between you and us unless and until we actually despatch the goods to you. Until then we may decline to supply the goods to you without giving any reason. Nothing else that we do or say will amount to acceptance of your offer.”
