Rs. 50K for Agent’s mom By Mike
The IBM Daksh BPO has grown to 25 delivery centers in India and the Philippines in the last 10 years. Daksh has a work force of 30,000 people who look after tens of blue chip clients.
A tipster tells Techgoss about how the Agents at the Tiscali Broadband UK Process being managed by IBM Daksh, Pune rallied together to help a colleague who needed funds for the medical treatment of his mother.
Varun*, a bright 20 year old who works at the Tiscali Broadband Process, is the sole bread winner in his family as well as the carer of his widowed mother. Varun is the only child. When his mother contracted TB, there were no funds to pay for her treatment. The IBM Daksh Operations Manager sent an email to the entire process describing the predicament. More than 300 people in the process chipped in Rs. 50,000 for the treatment.
Fortunately, the treatment during the 2 week hospital stay was successful and mom is doing well now. It truly was a heart warming scene when she came to the IBM Daksh offices on April 12, 2010 to thank the entire team.
Varun has promised everyone that he will repay the soft loan.
