Syntel IS Head hiring heartburn
By Sandhya

Over the last 18 months, Techgoss had published a series of exclusive reports giving details of all that was happening inside the BPO, KPO and IT divisions of one of India’s most successful IT-ITES companies Syntel.  One report showed how that in the recent past Syntel BPO was overly reliant on couple of key clients. Also, reported were the exits of the CEO and key HR people.

Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced.  People send in tips, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT-ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym. Some of the Tips sent to Techgoss lack fact and perspective or are seething with anger and hatred, and so are never published. But today we got a Tip which, in just a few detached words, tells the story.   A Tipster wrote in to Techgoss

The prestigious open position of Syntel IS Head (earlier held by Sridhar Pachigolla), which two highly regarded Account Managers were eyeing for about one year, has been filled by recruiting someone from outside. This is despite the fact that both Account Managers (SivaKumar and Satyanaraya) worked hard for a very long time (15 years of service at Syntel) to reach their current positions. This would have truly resulted in disappointment for both of these veterans as they have played a pivotal role in Peoplesoft End To End Upgrade, not a very simple task at hand for any organization specially Syntel (Because it is not big on Peoplesoft practice)
