Over the last 20 months, Techgoss had published a series of exclusive reports giving details of all that was happening inside the BPO, KPO and IT divisions of one of India’s most successful IT-ITES companies Syntel. One report showed how that in the recent past Syntel BPO was overly reliant on couple of key clients. Also, reported were the exits of the CEO and key HR people.

“ While it seems that Diwali has already started at some Offices of Syntel in Mumbai, but this is not the kind of Diwali people of Transaction Processing (TP) were looking forward to. There are a number of key management changes which are a bit unsettling.
Senior Manager, Global Transaction Processing, Mr. Chirag Maniar, has put in his papers and will be moving to JP Morgan very soon. Mr. Chirag Maniar, who had joined Syntel 5 years ago as an Associate, quickly moved up the ladder due to his hard work and leadership qualities. According to talk around the water cooler, one of the factors in his resignation is his ‘difference of vision and course of action’ with the current Vertical Head. Mr. Alfred Fernandes was recently made the Vertical Head of Transaction Processing.
Another great loss to the hard working TP team is Deputy Manager, Global Transaction Processing, James Saldhana, who is moving to a new Project. There will be a merger of teams and the new entity will be named as GTP 1 (Global Transaction Processing 1).
The exits of two such key players from GTP will be a blow to the smooth functioning of GTP1. Management should move quickly to stabilize the situation “

“ Techgoss had broken the story about how Deutsche Bank has outsourced Allegro to Syntel.
I have an update for your readers. There is good news for Syntel KPO and especially for their hard working Mumbai Operations team. Talk around the water cooler is that after the successful migration of Process ALLEGRO for the Deutsche Bank, the bank is so impressed that is seriously considering moving other Processes to Syntel as well. Syntel KPO may also get Transaction Processing and Recon Processes in the future.
ALLEGRO is currently at the Delphi Premises of Mumbai, but a number of Processes would be moved to the new Syntel facility at Airoli, Mumbai. Currently, Mumbai Centres are performing better than their counterparts.
There is also talk that Barclays and HSBC Processes in Hong Kong / UK / USA would be migrated to Syntel Maharashtra by First Quarter of 2012.
What does this mean for the hard working workers at Syntel? Loads of well deserved promotions, travel overseas for Migrations and substantial new hiring.
Looks like we will have a great Diwali this year! “ (9/20/2011) |
