Blog about bad neighbours By Techgirl
Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced. People send in tips, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT-ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym. Sadly, some tips sent to Techgoss cannot be used because they do not have enough facts, details or documentation.
All of us have at some point in time had bad neighbours. Some take our parking space while others have parties that end at 3 am (am guilty of the latter). One of my neighbours even asked me out to a Sena rally knowing fully well I am not a Maratha Manus Techgirl. Most of us politely avoid conflict.
Yesterday, Techgoss received a story tip about a woman in India’s Silicon Valley Bangalore who has been victimized by her neighbours and local religious places. When she escalated the matter to the police, courts and even the Human Rights Commission, even the local shop keepers boycotted her.
So, she turned to Google’s blogging software. In one place her blog ‘Intimidating Criminal Neighbours’ reads: “They had tutored many shops in a circumference of five roads to refuse to give anything to our family. That included saying, “You have to buy a TV if you want batteries”, when we asked for rechargeable batteries. Every tailor said she had ‘US orders’, so she could not take mine! Most shops are owned by Marwaris too. They influence everybody in the neighbourhood against us, into socially boycotting us and troubling us.”
This blog had evidence of stalking, barging into homes, harmful affects of smoking, and even some dirty dancing at a wedding procession.
You don’t believe me? Even I found it hard to believe till I saw all the 30 videos uploaded to this blog with hard evidence of evil neighbours. Apart from these 30 videos about neighbours not being neighbourly, there are many still photos and copies of letters to the Human Rights Commission.
Grab a glass of wine (you may need a bottle by the time you finish), slide off your shoes, ask mom not to call you for a few hours, and start reading this blog. I promise you, you will never look at your neighbours the same way again.
