Tata Teleservices Limited spearheads the Tata Group's presence in the telecom sector. The Tata Group includes over 90 companies, over 395000 employees worldwide and more than 3.5 million shareholders. Incorporated in 1996, Tata Teleservices launched its mobile operations in 2005 and enjoys a pan India presences in India’s 22 Telecom Circles. Its 3G services brand is Tata DOCOMO.

“ Tata Teleservices Ltd, commonly referred to as TTSL, is the license holder for pan India GSM operations. TTSL has been headquartered out of its South Bombay office but is now moving its headquarters to Noida in an attempt to increase revenues from lower lease / operations cost.
Furthermore, nearly 2000 employees across all levels and operations areas have been asked to leave. Most people were given the option of relocating to Noida or to leave the organisation. This move by senior management is in an attempt to reduce costs across the board.
