Gurgaon BPO sacks sex harasser

Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced.  People send in tips, photos, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT - ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym. Over the years, a number of Tipsters have contacted Techgoss complaining about sexual harassment at their IT or BPO companies. 

But few, who have contacted Techgoss alleging sexual harassment, have been able to provide the evidence to back up such serious charges.

In 2010,  Techgoss received a very detailed Tip backed up by evidence about India’s No. 1 BPO Genpact sacking a Hyderabad based AVP after a young female employee, who had been with the company for only 5 days, complained of sexual harassment. In Nov 22, 2011, we published a detailed Tip about how BPO Teleperformance (TP) sacked a Gurgaon based Account Manager who had a meteoric rise in the organization after he was found to have sexually harassed a new Joinee.  This was followed up by another article on how BPO Teleperformance has also sacked an Assistant Manager for sexual harassment following the complaint by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) at the Adobe Process.

On Jan 6, 2012, I had written about how Techgoss had received a detailed Tip about how an Assistant Manager at Global BPO Solutions at Udyog Vihar, Phase 3, NCR Region has been sacked for inappropriate behaviour.  Techgoss has double checked the news and can now publish the details

On Jan 3, 2012,   Global BPO Solutions in Gurgaon sacked an Assistant Manager AC* after as many as 4 female Trainees alleged that he sexually harassed them during training.  The women had formally lodged a complaint with the Global BPO Solutions management a few days before he was sacked.  After a thorough investigation, the sexual harassment charges were found to be credible and the Manager was sacked.

The investigation also revealed that AC* had shown fraud work experience in his resume to score the job at Global BPO Solutions.  At his last job, he was an Agent and was sacked there as well. But he showed as if he was an Assistant Manager at his last organization to get the job of an Assistant Manager at Global BPO Solutions.  He lasted less than 6 months at Global BPO Solutions.

What is puzzling is why no action was taken against AC* earlier.  On Nov 29, 2011, the victims had lodged a complaint with the Udyog Vihar Police station accusing AC of sending them vulgar messages and offering them promotions if they went out with him
