Online business uptime
By Pulkit Sharma

WatchMouse monitored the availability of 50 API/cloud web services during the period of February 16th to March 17th 2011. The methodology for testing the sites includes one simple API call and check for a valid result.

The monitoring was done from 58 locations around the world.  PayPal, which is quite popular in India, only made it to No. 43 on the list.  PayPal had a downtime of about 6 hours during the month being tracked.

Sites with 100 percent uptime include Basecamp, Delicious, EBay, Google and Quora.
