SheepStop Badges campaign By Nina Mukherji
SheepStop, a Pune-based start-up, takes online shopping to a new level making it a fun and rewarding experience for all t-Shirt lovers. They make 100% organic cotton tees which are sourced from a large community of designers across the world. The tees have eco friendly messages or funky original themes and designs printed on them, and can be bought online through their website. They are priced at around Rs.450 or $10 making organic wear extremely affordable for all ages. “This year SheepStop was selected to exhibit its products at the Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai and we received a tremendous response there,” adds Bhagyashri one of the founders of SheepStop.
They decided to take their innovative work a step further when their followers on Facebook and Twitter asked them to come out with a line that supported Anna Hazare’s anti-corruption movement. Keeping the quick need of the moment in mind and slightly longer turnaround time for tees they decided to make pin-badges instead. They felt that this would be a great medium to express support. The team worked overtime to put together this new category of products at SheepStop - pin-badges in less than 24 hours. As a way to express their solidarity with the anti-corruption movement they decided to give away these badges completely free except for shipping. They put up the deal on a Facebook page where people could download a coupon via e-mail or mobile and use the same to claim their free badges at the SheepStop website.
“Even though Anna Hazare's fast has ended we believe that this is just the first step in the fight against corruption. We need to remind ourselves and inspire others to fight corruption on a daily basis. We hope everyone wears these badges proudly and keeps the movement alive” says Bhagyashri
