Google FU in Hindu

Google launched a new feature for its browser Chrome on April 28, 2011 India time. Using Chrome, you can now translate what you say into other languages with Google Translate. If you’re translating from English, just click on the microphone on the bottom right of the input box, speak your text, and choose the language you want to translate to. In fact, you can even click on the “Listen” feature to hear the translated words spoken back to you!

Being a Project Manager at one of India’s top 3 tech firms, I have a lot of time on my hands.  Being a Manager in India means to get your underlings to do all the work while you get the credit.  Having lots of time on my hands, I decided to road test this new Google Translate feature.  I typed in ‘F*** You’ and wanted to know how that would be translated into Hindi.  See the image above to see what Google thinks it means in Hindi.  I don’t think Google translate can ever capture the subtleties of the Indian gali galooch.

In case you are wondering, it is a slow news day.
