Tweeting BinLaden raid By Techgirl
US Enemy No. 1 Osama Bin Laden was tracked down to Abbotabad, about 60 kilometres from Rawalpindi in Pakistan, and killed in a spectacular commando raid. No one knew of this joint American Pakistani operation till President Obama announced it live on American television.
But a Pakistani techie was live tweeting the raid even as the helicopters hovered over Bill Laden’s hideout. This Pakistani techie, Sohaib Athar, describes himself on his Twitter account as ‘An IT consultant taking a break from the rat-race by hiding in the mountains with his laptops. Reallyvirtual.com’
Ironically, Sohaib went to Abbotabad to get away from the rat race, but today he is listed as one of the trending topics on Twitter.
