Cisco is undergoing a restructure, and as part of its consolidation process as many as 4000 employees may be let go. Cisco has also decided to wind up its successful Flip video camera business.
The Flip video cameras are extremely popular and allow people to share videos with family, friends and the world at website FlipShare. FlipShare.com draws most of its traffic from US, UK and Canada, but India is its fourth largest supplier of traffic even if it was only a couple of percent.
FlipShare has just announced that all videos uploaded to its site will be removed after 30 days
“ Starting May 12, 2011, videos shared with an individual, group, Flip Channel, or Twitter will only be available online for viewing and downloading for up to 30 days after being sent. This 30-day expiration will also apply to videos shared previously.
All content older than 30 days will be deleted from the FlipShare.com servers beginning June 12, 2011. “ (5/14/2011) |
