By Asha

Sony’s Playstation.com is among the most visited 1100 websites in the world.  The gaming site gets most of its traffic from USA following by Japan and UK.  Italy and India make up the remaining top 5 positions.  Due to a sophisticated hacking attack, the Sony Playstation Network has been crippled for more than 3 weeks.

On May 2, Sony had announced that some PlayStation Network and Qriocity Services would be available within few days.  The very next day, an announcement was made it would take even more days before Sony could guarantee a safe system

On the weekend, Sony finally announced that the first phase of PSN and Qriocity service restoration had begun.  There was a glitch where the services had to be turned off for approximately 30 minutes to clear the queue, but the restoration of the online gaming services in well on its way.
