Map Power cuts in India

Powercuts.in tracks electricity outages in India.  You can Twitter in a report about a power cut or fill in a form to share the information with others on the internet. The idea behind the website is public knowledge of all planned / unplanned outages can only help improve the system.

IIM-A graduate Shefaly Yogendra is the person behind the idea. Ajay Kumar is the person behind the execution of this idea, the founder of the website and person managing the whole initiative. He is a Software Engineer and Social Worker who uses his technology skills to find appropriate ways of creating social change.

The website has been developed using free and open source software called Ushahidi.
