Google Bhasin to my blog By Techgirl
It has been 24 hours since India’s No. 1 BPO Genpact announced that it’s Founder and CEO Pramod Bhasin would now take a background role, and that he would be replaced by his right hand man Tiger Tyagarajan. Tyagarajan, the current Chief Operating Officer of Genpact, succeeds Pramod Bhasin who has decided to step down as CEO and member of the Board and become Non-Executive Vice Chairman of the company.
As Pramod Bhasin and Raman Roy are regarded as the Fathers of the Indian BPO sector, this was hot news. It was also one of the biggest changes in the booming Indian BPO sector and thousands of IT-ITES workers logged on to Google to search for ‘Pramod Bhasin Resignation’. And for many hours the leading results of this Google search was a satire article I had written in 2009 about Pramod Bhasin being ‘scared to leave Genpact’. Today, my satire piece has moved down to No. 2 position just behind the Business Standard article on Pramod Bhasin’s resignation as CEO (Image above)
Quite bizarrely, some people on Twitter are even quoting my satire piece done in 2009 as fact.
