One Day at Wikipedia
By Sumir Singh

Wikipedia is among the top 10 most visited websites in the world.  And it has the same ranking in India. Supported by half a million people from all over the world, the Wikimedia Foundation had announced earlier this year that it has exceeded its goal of $16 million USD to support Wikipedia and its sister projects for the 2010-11 fiscal year.

Now, a Wikipedia volunteer has mapped out all Wikipedia edits done worldwide during one day in May 2011.  It is quite spectacular and you can choose to see how the edits are done around the world via Animation, Bubble Map or Heat Map
