Readers Digest List: Most Trusted techies By Sameer Singh
The Readers Digest is the world’s largest circulation magazine. The Readers Digest Association publishes 92 magazines, including 50 editions of Readers Digest, to reach an audience of 130 million worldwide. Readers Digest India has just published its list of the most trusted Indians which includes a number of IT managers.
According to Readers Digest India, the most trusted Indian is our respected ex President Abdul Kalam. No. 2 on the list is Ratan Tata. No. 3 on the list is former police officer and the people’s heroine Kiran Bedi.
No. 4 on the list is Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy. No. 10 is Wipro founder Azim Premji. No. 13 is Infosys co-founder and UID boss Nandan Nilekani. At No. 36 Hotmail founder Sabeer Bhatia is more trusted than Montak Singh Ahluwalia who follows at No. 41.
At 81, Sania Mirza is more popular than Aishwarya Rai. Both Sania and Aishwarya beat super Twitterer Shashi Tharoor who is on position No. 84.
Who are the people at the bottom of the most trusted list? Mayawati is No. 100. Lalu Prasad at 99. Prakash Karat at 98. Sharad Pawar at 97. Mamta Bangerjee at 96.
As you can imagine the list is subjective. Our scrupulously honest Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is No. 7 followed by cricketing great Sachin Tendulkar. According to Readers Digest, Amitabh Bachchan at 14 is more trusted than Aamir Khan at 18.
Even as Readers Digest judges the trustworthiness of Indians, can we trust the magazine?
Google cant. Google is warning everyone that if you logon to the Readers Digest website in India you may run the risk of being infected with malware. LOL.
