MphasiS BPO churn By Pulkit Sharma
MphasiS Limited was formed in June 2000 after the merger of the US-based IT consulting company MphasiS Corporation and the Indian IT services company BFL Software Limited. On its website, MphasisS says its supports 1000 companies around the world. The MphasiS BPO has centers in Bangalore, Mangalore, Pune, Mumbai, Noida, Ahmadabad and Pondicherry in India.
It also has (had?) a BPO in Mexico. While their official website claims a BPO in Mexico, a Techgoss tipster says it has been wound up.
Techgoss gets a steady stream of tips from our readers backed up with hard facts and documentation. A tipster wrote in:
“ All is not well with MphasiS BPO. Many of its managers and Agents are leaving one by one. Not happy with the current management and HR practices. MphasiS has lost 140 people of the rank of Manager and above in the past one year.
The attrition accelerated after the MphasiS BPO guru Milind Godbole (MG) left the organization. Very surprisingly, the highly regarded Milind has not hired anyone from MphasisS into his new organization Aditya Birla Minacs Worldwide. There was talk in MphasiS corridors that many of the people will leave MphasiS and join him. The Highly respected ex- MphasiS BPO president Bhaskar Menon has swung into action now after joining as CEO of E4E and he has recruited dozens of key players from MphasisS. Tesco CEO Sandeep Dhar continues to cherry pick selected team members from MphasiS BPO to join his set up. It is heard in the corridors that one account Sallie Mae has completely ramped down. MphasiS has also closed down its 250 people Mexico operation. “
