The US is hosting a Science Hack Day which is described as ‘a 48-hour all-night event that brings together designers, developers, scientists and other geeks in the same physical space for a brief but intense period of collaboration, hacking, and building 'cool stuff'. ‘
And now Indians can apply to be a Science Hack Day Ambassador and attend a meet up in USA. Thanks to support from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, Science Hack Day will award 10 soon-to-be Science Hack Day organizers from around the world a scholarship to attend Science Hack Day San Francisco 2011
The application details are as follows
- Applications are welcome from anyone who is planning on organizing a Science Hack Day in their city within the next several months.
- The scholarship will cover the cost of travel expenses (economy class airfare, 4 hotel nights, and $300 USD for meals/cab fare/incidentals) to attend Science Hack Day San Francisco, occurring November 12-13, 2011.
- Applicants must be able to obtain any necessary visas to travel to the United States. Applicants are responsible for complying with entry requirements to the United States.
