Mydala.com, India’s first group buying / social commerce portal offering city specific deep-discount deals, has announced the launch of a new concept – the ‘mydala Mall’ – an online merchant store where users can view personalized deals by various merchants at one place. Instead of promoting just one deal at a time, each merchant can now promote several simultaneous deals on mydala Mall to ensure that they have something or the other on offer which will be relevant for every customer.
The mall includes deals on movies and audio CDs, gems and jewelry, home furnishings, premium cosmetics, flowers, perfumes, sunglasses and hotel & travel packages. The mydala Mall also includes offers on home appliances such as utensils, cutlery sets, containers, non-stick cookware, tiffins, cookers and idli makers, bathroom sets, bar accessories, coffee pots and vacuum flasks. Electronic gadgets on sale at the mydala Mall include cameras, mobile phones and tablets, cordless headphones, juicers and blenders, data cards and much more. The mall will also feature exciting deals on spa and salon, yummy pizzas, and many more city-specific services.
By July end, mydala had become one of the top 100 sites in India. According to Alexa rankings (July 29, 2011), the number of internet users visiting mydala has gone up by a whopping 373% in the last three months. comScore, in its latest report, found that total unique visitors on mydala.com have reached 952,000 in June 2011, up from 105,000 in May 2011. The research also revealed that mydala’s traffic share has gone up to 21.5% from 5.2% in the same period.
