Ban any Google account
By Ria Sharma

How easy is to block anyone’s Google Plus account?  Or for that matter any Google account?

Self described ‘nerd’ Gary Walker set out to test the following:

1.  How hard is it to get an account with a legitimate name suspended if that's what you want to do?

2. What actually happens when an account is reported?  What evidence needs to be provided?

3. What safeguards are in place to insure that the reporting system isn't abused?

Apparently, it’s as simple as reporting it as a "Fake Profile" and then if no action resulted, for "Impersonation.".  All you need to do is supply copies of fake ID which can be purchased very cheaply in our part of the world or created using editing software.

Gary has blogged his test with copies of very obvious fake looking documents (one which had the photo of an American serial killer).  As you will see, it did not take Google much time and evidence to block and unblock accounts based on fake documentation.
