Happy Diwali at Syntel
By Shalini Singh

Over the last 20 months, Techgoss had published a series of exclusive reports giving details of all that was happening inside the BPO, KPO and IT divisions of one of India’s most successful IT-ITES companies Syntel.  Among our exclusive reports, were articles on the exits of the CEO and key HR people.

Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced.  People send in tips, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT-ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym.  A Tipster wrote in:

Techgoss had broken the story about how Deutsche Bank has outsourced Allegro to Syntel.

I have an update for your readers. There is good news for Syntel KPO and especially for their hard working Mumbai Operations team.  Talk around the water cooler is that after the successful migration of  Process ALLEGRO for the Deutsche Bank,  the bank is so impressed that is seriously considering moving other Processes to Syntel as well. Syntel KPO may also get Transaction Processing and Recon Processes in the future.

ALLEGRO is currently at the Delphi Premises of Mumbai, but a number of Processes would be moved to the new Syntel facility at Airoli, Mumbai.  Currently,  Mumbai Centres are performing better than their counterparts.

There is also talk that Barclays and HSBC Processes in Hong Kong / UK / USA would be migrated to Syntel Maharashtra by First Quarter of 2012.

What does this mean for the hard working workers at Syntel?  Loads of well deserved promotions, travel overseas for Migrations and substantial new hiring.

Looks like we will have a great Diwali this year!

Thanks for the great Tip! Know about something more about this?  Send us a detailed Tip
