Genpact Tiger alive
By Techgirl

Yesterday, former Indian cricketer Mansur "Tiger" Ali Khan Pataudi, the youngest ever captain of the national team, died in Delhi aged 70. The nation mourned the passing of a great man whom everyone called ‘Tiger’.

There is a Tiger at Genpact as well.  In 2009, Techgoss had reported that Pramod Bhasin, President and CEO of Genpact, had picked Tiger Tyagarajan to be the COO. In that article we had speculated that Pramod would eventually hand over to ‘Tiger’ Tyagarajan.

In May, 2011, Genpact announced that it’s Founder and CEO Pramod Bhasin would now take a background role, and that he would be replaced by his right hand man Tiger Tyagarajan.

In a WTF moment, some people confused the Cricket Tiger and Genpact Tiger.  As you can see from the screen dump above from my Site Meter statistics, at least 4 people searching for ‘Tiger Death Genpact’ were directed by Google to my satire blog where I have poked fun of Genpact.

It seems that some young people in the IT-ITES sector know of only one Tiger.  They were too young to have the great cricketer in their consciousness.
