Hiring based on FB
By Asha

Reppler, a service that helps you manage your online image across different social networks, conducted a survey of 300 professionals who are involved in the hiring process at their company to understand the use of social networks for screening job applicants.

The results of this survey are shown in a detailed infographic at their site

Not only are Employers using Facebook, Twitter and other sites to filter out candidates, they are using such social networks to decide on whether the candidate should be hired

39 percent were hired because their social site profiles 'gave a positive impression of their personality and organization fit'.  Another 36 percent were hired because their profile showed the 'candidate was creative'

Reppler found that .Hirers are looking at the social networking profiles of candidates very early in the process.  This means that job seekers need to have their online act in order before they begin looking for a job.
