Is Disney poised to buy Mumbai head quartered Indiagames?
According to one of America’s leading tech blogs All Things Digital, Disney has valued Indiagames at being between $80 - $100 million.
“ Disney is close to finalizing the acquisition of Mumbai-based Indiagames, one of the county’s leading developers and publishers of online and mobile games, according to sources.
The announcement could occur as soon as today. Disney declined to comment, and Indiagames’ Founder and CEO Vishal Gondal did not respond to emails seeking comment.
In July, Disney bought India media conglomerate UTV, which owned a stake in Indiagames, so Disney’s acquisition would consist of purchasing the remaining shares it does not already own. .. “

Vishal is a Board Member of NASSCOM Board of Animation and Gaming Standards (BAGS) a joint effort of NASSCOM and the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Vishal is a member of the FICCI Media & Entertainment Committee, representing the Gaming Industry. Vishal is the Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Mobile VAS Task Force and a charter member of TIE, a global not-for-profit organization focused on promoting entrepreneurship.
