BPO sacks manager who hit friend
By Sandhya

Teleperformance is one of the biggest BPO’s in the world.  It has about 100,000 employees and revenue of 1,800 million pounds last year. Established in 1978, its core business spans the full spectrum of CRM/BPO contact center solutions. Teleperformance has a large global footprint in the industry with 276 contact centers, presence in 51 countries, servicing over 75 markets.

A senior manager at Teleperformance rang Techgoss to tell us about how the quickly the organization moved against a North India based award winning Senior Assistant Call Center Manager who had assaulted his girl friend on Teleperformance premises.  Both the accused and the victim worked at Teleperformance.

The Senior Assistant Call Center Manager looked after two Processes including the Adobe Process at Teleperformance, Gurgaon.  His girl friend also worked at the Adobe Process.  Some personal differences went out of hand, and the manager physically assaulted her in the cafeteria as well as outside the Offices.  A complaint was sent to the Teleperformance management, who, after a thorough enquiry, decided to sack him in the first week of August, 2010.

The sacked Manager had been with Teleperformance for 6 years and was one of their top performers.

Techgoss had been given the names and details of the sacked manager.  But at the request of our Tipster, we are not naming him at this point in time.
