Adobe to BPO: No food on our PCs
By Sita

Teleperformance (TP) is one of the biggest BPO’s in the world.  It has about 100,000 employees and revenue of 1,800 mill pounds last year. Established in 1978, its core business spans the full spectrum of CRM/BPO contact center solutions. Teleperformance has a large global footprint in the industry with 276 contact centers, presence in 51 countries, servicing over 75 markets.

Teleperformance supports a number of clients including Adobe, SanDisk, Alliance One, Telus and Microsoft.

Perhaps, one of the best managed and happy workplace at Teleperformance (TP) is its Adobe Support Process at Gurgaon. Its highly skilled workers produce great results every month, and in turn, the performers get great monthly incentives. There are about 300 people in the Adobe Support Team and their key performers were given a total monthly bonus of Rs. 1 Lakh between them in the month of June, 2010.

But there are some embarrassed faces in this highly skilled team when client Adobe recently complained to TP BPO management that their employees were leaving some food material and wrappers on their computers located at TP Offices in Gurgaon.

As part of the outsourcing deal between Adobe and its BPO Teleperformance (TP), Adobe supplies computers and systems to the BPO to help support their clients.  Adobe even has a Techie team whose job is to maintain these computers at Teleperformance.

A Tipster at Adobe tells Techgoss that their Maintenance Team, while checking the computer systems at the Adobe Process at Teleperformance, found that in 68 computers their were some food particles and wrappers of chocolates , gutkaa , candies , chips etc

Adobe management took photographs of these dirty computers and emailed them to Teleperformance management with instructions that the computers needed to be kept in better shape.

Now Teleperformance has told its Adobe Tech Support Agents and techies that all eatables have been banned on the floor.  Anyone found with snacks will be given a Final Warning letter, and if it happens a second time sacked.
