Syntel IBM rumours
By Techgirl

Yesterday (Feb 23, 2012), more than 200 new visitors came to Techgoss based on three keywords on Google search - ‘IBM takeover Syntel’.

Techgoss has broken more stories about Syntel than most news media and so naturally we rank very highly in any Google searches about Syntel.  Especially, about takeovers.  In 2010, my colleague Pulkit Sharma had written about how IBM was poised to buy Syntel.  In 2010, Techgoss was tipped off that IBM and Syntel had a number of meetings to work out ‘synergies’.  Nothing came out of the IBM – Syntel talks in 2010.

Yesterday (Feb 23, 2012), it seems that these rumours of IBM taking over Syntel were very alive on the internet.  And so 200 people were directed to our story from 2010.

To all our readers who work at Syntel and would like to know what would happen if IBM took over, read a new report by US-based Revere Financial Information Services. Revere is an exclusive financial / market research service that tells its clients where the next big investment is.   On Feb 18, 2012,  Revere published a Merger and Acquisition scenario report between IBM and Syntel.  (Did this help fuel the rumours?).

But you have to pay $250 to buy this Revere report from their website.  Let’s do this the Indian way.  250 Syntel employees can chip in $1 each.  Pay $250 for the report and then ‘share’ it.  This way you will know what will happen when Indian American ownership is replaced by American American ownership.

And if the rumours are true, then $1 will be a good investment.
