Convergys car as referral incentive

Ohio head quartered Convergys is one of the most successful BPO’s in the world. Convergys delivers a broad range of customer solutions which include technology, business analytics and consulting.  It employs a workforce of 74,000 at 125 centers in 60 countries across the globe. It has a huge footprint in India with offices in Bangalore, Gurgaon, Hyd, Mumbai, Thane and Pune.

Software giant Microsoft and Citi are among its many blue chip clients.

According to a Techgoss Tipster, Convergys gives a Referral Bonus of as high as Rs. 6000 for every new hire recommendation that joins the company.  With the worst of the recession over, and Indian IT-ITES hiring in large numbers, Convergys worked out an innovative scheme to recruit more workers for its BPO.  Under the scheme any Convergys employee who gives 50 Referrals in 2 months would be given a Chevrolet Spark car.  Anil, who works at the Citibank Process at Convergys, managed to meet the target of 50 Referrals in only 50 days.

He was rewarded with a brand new Chevrolet Spark.  Its base model has an ex showroom price of Rs. 318,000.
