Aegis is a global consulting, technology, outsourcing and training and education company which operations in 53 locations across 12 countries with more than 55,000 employees. Aegis services over 300 clients from verticals such as Banking, Financial Services and Insurance, Technology, Telecom, Healthcare, Travel and Hospitality, Consumer Goods, Retail, and Energy and Utilities. The company is wholly owned by the Essar Group, a $27 billion conglomerate.

Aegis has launched its new center in Peru, in the city of Lima. The company, with headquarters in Mumbai, India, plans to hire over 800 employees in the first year and aims to reach a headcount of 2,000 in the second year.

The site, equipped with state of the art technology and strategically located in the historical center of Lima, has three floors which include call center floors with over 300 seats, meeting and training rooms and sections for administrative employees as well as break rooms.

This is Aegis’ second milestone within the region, after acquiring Actionline de Argentina in October 2010, which has over 5000 employees and 5 sites spread out in different Argentine cities.
