BlueStone appoints VP Technology
By Sumir Singh

BlueStone, which has recently raised an additional Rs 200 crores in funding, has appointed Ravi Krishna as Senior Vice President of Product and Samarth Bhargava as Vice President of Technology. The new appointments will help BlueStone.com, which is hugely successful in the precious jewellery and lifestyle segments, strengthen its technology infrastructure and online presence.

Commenting on the recent hires, Gaurav Singh Kushwaha, Founder & CEO, BlueStone.com said, “Our technology and product functions are at the core of our business and strengthening them with exceptional talent will ensure robust growth while offering a truly personalized experience for customers. Both Ravi and Samarth are highly talented individuals with a proven track record. They will play a crucial role in charting our ambitious growth path with an eye on profitability over the next couple of years.”

Samarth Bhargava (pictured above) joins BlueStone.com as the Vice President of Technology with over 14 years of experience under his belt. Prior to joining Bluestone.com, he was a Vice President at Goldman Sachs and was associated with AppBank Engineering, building systems for streaming big data and predictive analytics. Samarth has also worked with GE and Dell along with a stint in the United States where he worked with Dow Jones and LexisNexis as a consulting Architect. Samarth obtained his BE in ‘Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering’ from National Institute of Technology, Rourkela.

“My new assignment with BlueStone.com is unlike any of my earlier functions. The online jewellery segment in India is still at a very nascent stage and there is so much we can do from a technological perspective. I am thrilled at the prospect of introducing some of the firsts in the jewellery e-commerce space in India in the coming months and look forward to providing our customers with a world-class jewellery shopping experience.”  says Samarth Bhargava, Vice President, Technology
