The multi billion dollar mobile applications business is booming. And creative Indian operations like TwistMobile are riding this insatiable demand for entertainment, education and social networking on mobile devices. The Nokia Millionaire League is a group of over 200 application developers (Eleven from India) who have crossed the 1 million download mark at the Nokia Store.
The Indians in the Nokia Millionaire League are TwistMobile, Hungama, Synqua, Migital, Indiagames, Sinew, Nextwave, Archmobile, Techtree IT, Spicelabs, and Impetus.
Twist Mobile is having 22 applications, some of which are: Bric Mania, Icon Browser, Mobile Chat App, Fun Pix, Raavan Fire etc. Hungama has Bollywood Hungama, Enduro Champ etc. Synqua has FidoDido Tower Blitz, Teen Patti: Beach Party, Ultimate Cricket '11 World Cup etc, i.e., mostly game apps.
Migital has entertainment, utilities, sports, photo and video, music and puzzle apps some of which are: World Cup Scheduler, Talking Clock Free, Smart Yoga Pro etc. India Games has apps for game, sports, trivia, entertainment, arcade, business etc. Sinew has business and utilities apps. Spice Labs has Hangman, Memory, Crossword, Sudoku, NewsOnGo etc. And, Impetus has music, utilities, entertainment based apps, some of which are: iPiano, Moksha, Drummer etc.
Techgoss caught up with TwistMobile Founder and CEO, Virat Singh Khutal, about him being invited by Nokia to their Millionaire Apps Club. Virat says: “Being invited to share the stage by Nokia in its Millionaire Apps Recognition program was a great experience. We always wanted to work for our own market. It was great that Nokia recognized and worked closely with us to promote our apps and provide us the right set of Tools to achieve 15 Million downloads in 8 month.”
Nokia has also invited all its Millionaire Apps Club members to join them at the Nokia London Conference later this year. Virat says: “Attending the international Nokia conference at London will be a boost to our brand and team. We are working even harder to create high quality content for Nokia store.
