Syntel E2 breakup

On Aug 2, 2012, I had written about who were the E2 winners and losers in the first round of the newly implemented Syntel KPO’s appraisals and promotions policy – Altitude.  (Article republished below)

The biggest winner in terms of promotions is the Internal Reconciliation Vertical headed by the highly regarded Rajesh Gupta. The total number of promotions in this Vertical from E1-E2 (Associate to Senior Associate) is a whopping 56.  Congratulations to all those who were promoted.

For the Fund Accounting Vertical headed by the charismatic Anjali Vaidya, the number of Promotions from E1-E2 is 31 employees.

For External Reconciliation & Transaction Management combined, the total number of promotions from E1- E2 is only 15 which is a record low at Syntel.  The total number of promotions in this vertical is approximately 23-25 only. (Apart from E1-E2 there were other promotions as well).

To all those who got promoted, my personal congratulations!  Stop wasting your time reading this article and get back to your work.  Do your work tasks conscientiously.  And when you get back home use your personal computer to send a Tip to the media about what is happening in the Indian IT-BPO sector.

Syntel E2 Winners

Over the last 24 months, Techgoss had published a series of exclusive reports giving details of all that was happening inside the BPO, KPO and IT divisions of one of India’s most successful IT-ITES companies Syntel. 

Regular readers of Techgoss are well aware that a large number of our articles are crowd sourced.  People send in tips, photos, story ideas and even articles. Many of our contributors have full times jobs in IT - ITES, and so prefer using a pseudonym.

In late July, 2012, Techgoss had published an exclusive report on how Syntel’s new HR initiative named Altitude had caused some angst and heartburn. A Tipster wrote in giving us an update

You last report on Syntel KPO’s new appraisal and promotions policy – Altitude – had some details of the winners and losers in the latest round of promotions. But it lacked the exact number of promotions.   For the External Reconciliation and Transaction Management Vertical (Mumbai & Pune combined) under Ashok Yadav, which has approximately 300-400 employees, there were less than 20 promotions.  They got the Bronze medal for E1-E2 promotions.

For every losing team there is a winning team!  Who were the winners at Syntel KPO? 

Fund Accounting Vertical headed by the charismatic Anjali Vaidya gets the Silver Medal for number of promotions from E1-E2.

And our Team, the Internal Reconciliation Vertical headed by the quietly confident Rajesh Gupta, got the Gold Media for the largest number of promotions from E1-E2.  Our Big Boss, the highly regarded Rajesh Gupta, demonstrated our clear edge over our colleagues in other Verticals.  We won and you lost!
