Yummy Aid funds for a social cause
By Kerala IT News

The Network of Women USsociates (NowU) at UST Global, one of the largest IT employers in Kerala, organised their annual food festival ‘Yummy Aid’ at their office in Technopark early this week. Funds raised at this event will be provided through UST Global Foundation to build a computer lab for the students of the Kanyakulangara Government LP School on the outskirts of the city.

Like previous years, this year too Yummy Aid managed to draw attention of all the USsociates. The event saw huge participation in the contest with about 40 teams participating and also from the USsociates who wanted to pamper their taste buds. The judges from Muthoot Skychef had a great time tasting culinary skills of the participants and a tough time judging their dish.

NowU organizes Yummy Aid every year and stalls are set up where teams of participants display the dishes they prepare. The preparations are then open for judgment and for all to relish them. Every year the proceeds go towards social cause.

Hema Menon, India Head, NowU, UST Global said, “Yummy Aid is one of the most popular fests of UST Global and we are delightfully surprised each year by the increase in the number of participants. This is the time when the IT experts also get to show off about their hidden culinary skills and everyone gets to have a taste of it! The best part of the celebrations is that proceeds from this event are contributed towards noble causes. This makes our celebrations complete and gives us a sense of contentment.”

Headquartered in Aliso Viejo, California, UST Global fosters client-specific cutting-edge innovation from its state-of-the-art centres in the United States, the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. In India, UST Global has centres in Technopark, Trivandrum; Infopark, Kochi; Chennai and Bangalore.
