Bollwood BPO heroes By Techgirl
Facebook is the hottest social networking site in the world with more than 100 million users. Everyone from Prince William to Bill Gates has a profile.
Now comes news that one of the best wordsmiths in the world, Aaron Sorkin, will be writing a movie about how Facebook was started. Aaron Sorkin wrote super hits like A Few Good Men, The American President and Malice. He is also highly regarded for being one of the star writers of the TV hit ‘The West Wing’.
That got me thinking. Many Indian start-ups pick up ideas from America and then localize them ‘with Indian characteristics’ for our market. Examples would be Indian search engine Guruji wanting to be the Indian Google and Minglebox hoping to replicate the success of Facebook.
Perhaps it is time for Bollywood to make films on men like Pramod Bhasin and Raman Roy who launched our multi-billion dollar call centre industry. And Narayana Murthy who is one of the key founders of Infosys.
Which Indian Bollywood star should play the role of Pramod Bhasin, Raman Roy, Narayana Murthy and other founders of our hugely successful tech sectors? Should it be Aamir Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Dharmendra, Hrithik Roshan, Saif Ali Khan, Shahrukh Khan or even model/actor John Abraham? Or perhaps Bollywood bad boy Sanjay Dutt.
From this week onwards, Techgoss will invite our readers to select Bollywood heroes you would like to star in a movie about our BPO and IT heroes.
We will follow up with similar polls for our tech heroines.
Techgoss ‘Todays Poll’ on our front page will give you the choice on which Bollywood actor you would like to see play the life of Genpact big boss Pramod Bhasin.
